Construction Details:

This is such a flat-color, simplified costume that I spent way too long being really meticulous with the construction and detail. The whole thing is made of milliskin matte spandex. I constructed the leggings first, easy enough. I hand patterned the sleeves to be poofy while not having too much gathering/ruching, just a couple pleats. The moon and curlicues are out of the same milliskin, just fused to heat'n'bond and very carefully ironed on. The collar took the most time, by far, and is hand-sewn shut--there is no obvious beginning or end to the collar, even in the back.
