About this Costume

I had to draft a pattern for the dress, because there isn't a pattern out there that would be suitable for modification in this case. Drafting the pattern required preliminary sketches, two mockups, cutting a pattern out of tissue paper, and finally sewing the thing while sweating bullets the entire time. It was all made with 4-way stretch PVC. Smells terrible, by the way. I made all the gauntlets, bracelets, chokers, armbands, and the tops of the stockings out of the same material so it would be guaranteed to match. The spikes screw on and the studs have to be stuck through the fabric via prongs on the back. The bat wings are also made with the PVC glued to a galvanized wire frame that was wrapped in thick elastic. The buckle and horn are both made with paperclay. The horn stays on my head with bobby pins and the buckle is held in place with brass fasteners. My red skin is done with two pairs of tights (one pair was made into armsocks), a red lycra skirt for my torso, and paint for the rest.
- Personal Thoughts:
- I've been wanting to cosplay this for a couple of years now, and I guess I never realized it was a dream cosplay until I had the entire thing on and knowing that I'd made this nice thought a reality and getting back the pictures and barely recognizing myself in all that red. As far as the character goes, the demon sisters are terrible bitches. Why do I love terrible bitches so much?

- Styling Notes
- I did add wefts to hide some of the netting on the sides. The bangs were trimmed and styled with a little hairspray.
- Wig Review
- love love LOVE the Jeannie!
