About this Costume
Construction Details:
The yukata is plain blue cotton and I made it in about an hour. The painting took at LEAST ten times that. I made freezer paper stencils of the Mark of the Exalt and stenciled each one on with white fabric paint. It wasn't difficult, but it was tedious, awful, and by the end physically painful since my back and arm started cramping from the repetitive motion. Never again.

The obis are made from satin -- the yellow one is glittery though unfortunately it doesn't really show up in photos! The bow is pretied/slides into the back like tsuke obi. Butterfly accessory is craft foam backed with iridescent fabric strung on a cord made from the same material as the teal obi.

The tiara is pretty last minute and is just painted craft foam backed with muslin for reinforcement. Shoes I bought from Amazon.
Personal Thoughts:
I never ever want to stencil another Mark of the Exalt as long as I live.

I love Lucina, but currently I don't really have the time, money, or resources in order to do her default outfit like I want to. So when a very dear friend of mine asked me to cosplay Lucina with his Chrom, clearly, the solution was to make the Hot Spring Scramble yukata, which turned out to be way more time-consuming than I thought due to all that stenciling! Thanks to Jen and Dave for being my fantastic parents :D

Photos were taken by Nancy! (www.nancymcnelly.com) The Falchion belongs to my Chrom and was made by Hard Work & Guts.
