About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Fabric: Green brocade, white cotton poplin silk, white liner fabric.
Hat: base was constructed with yoga mats and EVA foam to give it it's shape. The two pieces were glued together. The fabric was placed on top and glued down at the seams. Red trim was then placed on top of all the seams. I hand embroidered all the gold thread. The red circles are red suede glued to the hat. The middle embroidery I free-handed the pattern with the help of my sewing machine. The gold embellished front is constructed out of craft foam, the design I used 3D puff paint then painted it with acrylics. Dangles are red poms poms strung with clear jewelry wire sewed into the hat. All gems were glued on.
Jacket: Free handed the pattern. Fully lined. Machine and hand embroidered. Gems glued on. Arm bands are made from worbla.
Underbust: I had no idea how to go about this because it wasn't exactly a corset...I used heavy interfacing to keep the structure of the design. A zipper hides underneath the breast plate. Breast plate constructed from worbla. Breast plate attaches to fabric via garment magnets. Machine and hand embroidered. Gems glued on.
Tights: were purchased I only added the lace.
Shoes: purchased, used 3D puff paint to create the designs then painted over it with acrylics. - Personal Thoughts:
- I have been wanting to do a Trinity Blood cosplay forever but wanted to get my cosplay skills higher before I attempted such a complex design.
