About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
The epaulets are torn up fancy drape hangings/tassles & gold rope on pleather & gold vinyl with foam inside.
The gold trim is pleather & gold vinyl, both sewn and glued together, then attached to the dress with sew-on velcro.
The collar is stretch twill and kona cotton, with kona cotton tie with various shades of vinyl (red, orange, white, & clear orange on top) for the eyes. It's separate from the dress and closes with 3 hook&eyes along the chest/throat. the epaulets are attached to the collar too!
The dress took the longest. It's 4 panels, stretch twill with hilariously wide skirts that were made into pleats. The pleats aren't exactly even (though they're pretty close!!) because I'm bad at math. Those were sewn down and ironed to HELL AND BACK
The boot covers are basic pumps with white vinyl & some shitty stretchy blue that ripped on me so those are deffo gettin remade.
FUN FACTS: I made all of this while marathoning all 150 episodes of Malcolm in the Middle!! and my sword is a Rukia Kuchiki sword from ebay. - Personal Thoughts:
- big eyebrow bitch do not fuck with
sooooooo I saw the poster for this fuckin anime AGES ago when it was just unnamed mad bitches with "Trigger" and "Imaishi" somewhere on there and I knew this show was gonna be SICK AS HELL so I had to make this!!! it just so happened that ACP/Daisuki was promoting it at NYCC so I had a good reason to start on it right away.
