Construction Details:

Bodice and skirt made from linen--it was more of a teal so I used color remover and a blue dye to make it more of a true blue. Blouse is a standard cotton shirting fabric with elastic around the ends of the sleeves. Skirt is about four yards of fabric on an elastic waistband, and the bodice I altered a pattern for--it was a four-piece pattern, but I combined the front and back pieces so the fronts and back would be singular pieces, and then I sewed darts into the extra space where her darts are to make it a little more shapely. I used leftover leather lace from nomad Hungary to lace it up, and the brown trim is custom bias tape made from a suiting.

Personal Thoughts:

I made this costume in a hurry for Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland. Could have been better constructed, but I'm satisfied with it and felt pretty, and that's all that matters.
