Construction Details:

Completely rushed through construction to finish for a photoshoot.

The two inner shirts are unlined, but one's knit and the other is french-seamed so seams are generally fine.

The surcoat is fully lined, and some of the bias tape is hand-sewn in because it was just easier that way. The koi panels (who knew that they were actually koi??) were drawn on by Sharpie, and partially hand-embroidered with metallic gold thread. I'm not certain that it's actually possible to wash that part, so I made it really easy to take apart the panels for cleaning.

Personal Thoughts:

I've pretty much been an Okita fangirl for about as long as I have liked Rurouni Kenshin (and by extension, Seta Soujirou, and by further extension, Okita and the Shinsengumi), so for over ten years now? So somehow in a random burst of Shinsengumi obsessiveness, this happened.

Wig Review

This was the wig that I used when I cosplayed Clive couple years ago. I just had to wash out all that hairspray and make it kind of spiky instead of flippy.
