Construction Details:

The bodice is made of a layer of cotton sateen with a layer of canvas to stabilize it and is lined on the inside. The shoulder pieces are also cotton sateen with two layers of interfacing and lined on the inside. The skirt is three separate layers. There are two layers made from 8-10 yards of peach skin with a top layer of about 5 yards of chiffon. All the layers are attached to the bottom of the bodice and it all zips up in the back. The bias tape was hand made using gold crepe back satin and attached to the costume according to the reference.

Styling Notes

The wig was straightened using a hot water method, and was placed into a softening bath to prevent tangling. Using a curling iron on low heat, Got2B hairspray, and a hairdryer, I was able to work the bangs up.
