Construction Details:

The sword is a wooden base with around eight coats of Bondo, followed by fast-build primer and a clear lacquer finish.

The Wind Waker is a paintbrush, a nickel, and a dime, coated in bondo.

Personal Thoughts:

Costume made entirely by me sans the boots (from ebay) and the shield was made by my friend's dad.
--Tunic was hand dyed three times to get the proper color, and I'm finally happy with it. I found that a more natural green matched the chartreuse-y color of his undershirt. I made pants out of dance spandex as opposed to tights. I feel that they give the costume an overall boyish look.
