Construction Details:

Used a jacket pattern to start, and turned it into a kimono style gown. I split the sides and added the side gold pieces to give it the volume I wanted. Each side piece has a lion applique, which I traced out from the same design my friend Sketch used for his Gryffindor costume. I satin stitched both in a red/black/gold embroidery thread (which took 90 minutes for each >.

Personal Thoughts:

I still plan on doing a lot of embroidery work to this, but I was happy I finished the base of it to be worn at Dragon*Con.
