Construction Details:

So much kimononess. Top kimono is directly attached to the middle one. Undergarment kimonos are separate for sake of adjusting and fitting more people. Everything was hand died and hand painted on. Obi is a little obi is a little over 20 feet, heavy duty interfacing in it, hand painted as well. The sakuras are painted on the juban skirt as well

Personal Thoughts:

This is a costume I've wanted to do for about 2 years. I wanted to do it a lot but had to put it to the side since I wasn't comfortable with the lack of skills at that time. And now it's a tribute costume to my late grandfather who loved Japan and was actually going to help me with this.
