About this Costume
Construction Details:
Over 30 yards of ruffles and about three days of my life went into making this costume. I don't even know where to start with writing about it but uh...

The blouse is a white poplin with lots of hand gathered ruffles all over. The button strip closes with snaps and then I sewed cloth-covered buttons on top to mimic the actual way her blouse looks.

The skirt is made from black sateen and it's a large gathered rectangle skirt with two tiers of ruffles. The bottom tier of ruffles also has a lace ruffle on the inner side peeking out from the bottom. To fill it out, I wear a white poplin underskirt with ruffles on the bottom edge (also self-made) and two Leg Avenue petticoats.

The blazer is self-drafted and made from a black suiting from JoAnn. I'm not a big fan of the material so I'll be remaking it in the future, but it's a cropped, fitted blazer with princess seams and modified sleeves. The sleeves have grommets hammered in through which I laced white ribbon to get the corset lacing effect.

The headdress was my own pattern, and is made of white poplin with a white rose lace overlay that was hand tacked down to the base. The edging lace is a vintage 1910's lace I got off Etsy and I double-layered it and hand-tacked it down before sewing it all together.

I haven't bothered making the garters or the earrings yet but I'll get around to those before my next wear!
Personal Thoughts:
I love Celes!! I love this costume!! It's a pain in the ass to wear but walking around feeling like a frilly princess is the most worth it.

Styling Notes
150" of wire sandwiched between Gaff tape with wefts caulked down on top, then curled together and sewn to a base wig. Probably the most ambitious wig project I've done so far and I'm really glad it came out well!!
Wig Review
It's actually not that uncomfortable to wear despite how it looks.
