Construction Details:

My mom had made me a witch costume some years ago, but I added silver trim (because the dress was too short) and the silver patterns. The witch hat was bought from the store, but I put stiffener on the inside to keep it's shape.

The monster book was a regular book covered in paper with eyes painted on.

Personal Thoughts:

Yeah, so this is how we rolled before the movies came out. You came up with your own costume ^_^. I love Hermione Granger as a character and I practically grew up as her: bushy brown hair, know-it-all/teacher's pet, anxious about breaking rules. I even used to have big front teeth until I had an accident and chipped most of the front 2 off, at which point I got a new pair of caps that were smaller and better shaped than my original... (*cough book 4 anyone?)

I bought a little owl plushy to be Hedwig. I also took an old journal to make it into my very own Monster Book of Monsters. I'm using a chopstick as a wand.
