Personal Thoughts:

For me, this costume is a tangible on visual representation of the personal transformation I went through during the first part of 2012. After losing 25lbs, my old version of Super Sailor Jupiter no longer fit. The construction on the old costume was poor, too, as it had been my first attempt a sewing, so after the weight loss it just seemed best that I rework this costume from the ground up.

With my new found confidence that came with losing the weight, I decided that the skirt need shortening to a more accurate length. Bows, hip roll, and skirt pleats were all completely remade, and I must say that I am very satisfied and proud with how far my sewing skills improved between the two costumes.
