Construction Details:

Perhaps one of the biggest and most rewarding costumes I've taken on simply because this is the first corset I've ever made. I started on it nearly 5 months in advance of Dragon*Con so I could take my time and not stress out about it. I started with Butterick B5662 to make the initial mock up. My fairy godmother India helped me pin the adjustments and also would tell me how to proceed in between mock ups (in addition to answering all of my questions and showing me her surprisingly easy way to sew all the pieces together). I'm so glad I took the time to do this properly because I don't think I would have been so happy with the final product in the end if I hadn't.
