Construction Details:

Helmet is made of plaster cast, resin, paper mache, valves, kitchen drawer handles, bobbins, and a lot of other miscellaneous items. Hopefully in a future shoot I'll be able to fully display the helmet since there are tubes that connect to the valves that when hooked up to compressed air cans will create steam. The orbs are connected with modified takuan (pickled radish) jars.

The dress was made by me out of 100% cotton and wedding lace. I free drew a pattern for the bodice and the bottom was simply attached by pleating the material.

Shoes are from Stuart Weitzmann.

The purse is a recycled Christmas ornament with a latch drilled in with a dremel. The bag is made of recycled fabric.

Personal Thoughts:

I was inspired by Meagan Marie and Lisa Lou Who's costumes from SDCC to create my own Helmet Girl costume. Little did I know, Meagan and Lisa planned to make a Helmet Girl group at Dragon*Con. I'm very proud of our group which included Gabby and Tory who are new to cosplay!

Styling Notes

Trimmed bangs. Used two black wefts and connected them with modified water bottles.
