About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
The top is mainly made from a heavyweight jersey knit. The blue details are made from metallic blue spandex that was heat n' bonded on. The hearts on the arms are made from 6mm craft foam that I cut with a bevel and covered in a cotton sateen, then hand sewed to the sleeves. The pants are made from the same metallic blue spandex details on the shirt. The stars on the pants are made from the same cotton sateen made to cover the sleeve hearts, and are heat n' bonded on. The shoes are boot covers made from the blue metallic spandex and white spandex. The arm bands are made from the same heavyweight jersey knit, pink cotton sateen and metallic spandex, with the white stars heat n' bonded on. The hat is made from the heavyweight jersey knit and blue metallic spandex, stars heat n' bonded on. The horse is made from a cotton sateen. The horseshoe is craft foam and then painted and weathered.
- Personal Thoughts:
- Steel Ball Run ended up being my favorite part, though I didn't like Johnny at all at first. But then he really grew on me and one day I was just like, "Ahhh baby" and now I really love Johnny. Plus I got really excited about All Star Battle coming out so I just was really determined to cosplay Johnny or I was going to explode.
Though I'm a little upset cause all I can see are the mistakes on this costume and the things I want to change but I'll definitely shoot again in this after making the changes I want.
Wig Details
- Styling Notes
- I layered the front and sides of the wig. Then I cut the little bits that poke out of his hat.
