About this Costume
- Construction Details:

The top is a thick cotton, created using a dress shirt as a pattern. I modified the length of the body and the arms, as well as the angles and finished them off with bias tape. I bought the black shirt and added gray cuffs to the bottom. The collars were both giant mistakes and ended up looking pretty well. I recently bought a dressform, so I put the shirt and jacket on the dressform to create a pattern from paper. The black collar has white bias tape and the gray collar has black ribbon for the design.
The skirt is also cotton. It is a simple knife pleated skirt. I bought 100 yards of ribbon to make Madoka's petticoat and hand-ruffled them... had left overs... and used it on the bottom of my skirt.
The tights are sweater tights from ebay and I LOVE the design on them. It took me weeks to find them and they're just what I wanted. Sadly, they have a pull in them somehow and I might need new ones. The shoes are heels I got at Payless for my senior jazz dance. - Personal Thoughts:
- Homura is a truly beautiful character.
