Construction Details:

I created the shirt from a heavy cotton, using a basic collared shirt as the pattern. I extended the collar and put interfacing inside the bottom half. I decided to use light pink cotton on the shirt rather than sheer, as I've seen on other costumes. It has white bias tape on the edges for a nice finish.

The jacket is light pink organza, made from a vest pattern. The back is laced together with light pink ribbon.

I used medical tape for the left armband and pleather for the right armband (originally). I updated it later and used vinyl pieces glued together.

I never actually found the fabric I wanted for the skirt, but I settled for a red gingham like fabric from Joann. It is a box pleated skirt with 5 pleats. The front has two buttons and gold rope. The bottom is lined with black lace.

I bought the shoes at Wet Seal and was so excited how wonderful they were. Bought black laces and painted the front and back pieces white.
