Construction Details:

I actually made both Hikaru and Kaoru's Cheshire outfits. One was worn by my friend when we went to the con.

I used two types of fleece (pink and purple) for the tunics. I created a tail with the same fabric. I inserted a wire hanged for stiffness and we would be able to change the shape of our tails! :)
Paws were made in the shape of mittens with little circles added for the paw prints. White linen was added for the cuffs.
Ears were made by cutting little triangles in the fleece and then sewing them together so they were thick and I sewed/glued them onto headbands.

The belts we bought but I made two pouches so we could hold our ids/money/etc while at the con. (I try and make a spot on every costume to hold the necessities)

The pants and long sleeves we bought/already owned. (since this con I have bought a binder (super helpful) for keeping the girls flat. Its hard to play a dude when you have extra figure at the top)

Personal Thoughts:

I can play either because I both intense at least in looks and bold when needed to play HIkaru's more aggressive type. But I'm also clumsy and hurt myself easily and become embarrassed often just like Kaoru.

This was my very first outfit I ever made but its just a junky one. But it is still special to me since this was my first even con (Ohayocon) I ever went to in 2011.
