About this Costume

So much of this was Not Made By Me, ahah. The fatsuit was basically made by taking mens' XXL measurements and making a muslin swimsuit, that was then stuffed with quilt batting (which was all I had on hand and I was bound and determined to spend as little as possible on this costume!)
The tie was very quickly put together with Heat-n-Bond and patterned from a tie I already owned. The cardigan was made by me, using a dress shirt pattern from another costume.
Shirt was from the thrift store, pants were from my closet LOL
Shoes from Wal-Mart
Glasses from Don's Hobby Shop
And the backpack was made by taking apart a Wal-Mart backpack and using the pieces as a pattern - I kept the straps and padded back because my sewing machine can't handle that much crap. - Personal Thoughts:
- I made this for the Dangan Ronpa Ask panel at Animethon 20!
I will never wear it again!
I've thrown most of it out!
I won't lie, it was fun being an over-the-top otaku for the panel but I do not ever want to wear a fatsuit again.

- Styling Notes
- Tried to keep this as not-utterly-destroyed as possible so that I could use it for Levi down the line! I trimmed the bangs and used the clippings to make the ahoge. The ahoge itself was made with a triangle-shaped piece of foam covered in black twill, which I glued the clippings to. It was attached to the base wig with a couple of hairpins in the back. The curly bits were just styled with hairspray, and the bangs were glued down with copious amounts of hair gel and hairspray. Hair gel makes for a very good base, by the way! Just use some hairspray to lock it in place!
