About this Costume

Jacket and pants were made of cotton twill. Cape is a REALLY nice satin I found. The blue design on the jacket front was embroidered. And I know I could have probably just embroidered or drawn the other lighter design that's on the jacket but I see it as being meant to be a seam and so that's what I did. I patterned the pieces out until I was able to get that seam to work. Took a while and it doesn't show very well in photos but its there!
The jewelry was all a bitch to find the right gems for. For the cape jewels, I ended up buying silver ones at Michael's (the ones that were the shiniest! XD I wanted to be super bling-bling) and painted the silver bases gold. Bought the dangling beads off of etsy and also had to paint them gold as I couldn't find the right size in the right color. Took me FOREVER to find those black crystals for the earrings and ended up paying more than I would have liked for them but I wanted just the right size. Made the gold parts of the earrings out of sculpe. - Personal Thoughts:
- I seriously wonder why I've never cosplayed from Sailor Moon before and figured it was about time to. Some of my friends were trying to put together a Sailor Moon villain group and I feel like I'm much more suited for the villains than for any of the good guys and well, I just like them more. XD So I chose Diamond as I figured of all the villains, I'd be more likely to pull him off and I've always loved his character. It was awesome finally getting to do Sailor Moon and I LOVED cosplaying him! It was great hanging out with other SM cosplayers and having people come up to me and being all "My Childhood!" or "Oh man I never see this character done anymore!" So I'm pretty happy with the outcome.
