Construction Details:

The wig started out as a light pink and was dyed with Sharpie ink. It really didn't style well, the dye wouldn't stick, and it came out awful. The earpieces are made from paperclay and and attach to headband that is hidden under the wig. The entire outfit was made from vinyl. The white is a dressweight matte vinyl. The purple symbol was stenciled on and handpainted with acrylics. The sleeves are two layers: the outer layer is pleated for fullness and sandwiched between the layers is a bunch of tulle to keep it puffy. The big shoulder rings and all the cuffs were made with layers of foamies covered in red PVC vinyl. The white buttons are made from those little fabric cover button kits. The red gems came from butchered Christmas ornaments and the settings and other jewels were made from paperclay. The skirt is made of purple PVC vinyl and the 4 flaps are the white lined with satin. The red tails are two layers of PVC vinyl sewn into the waistband, and the white symbol was stenciled and spray painted, and eyelets punched in. All the gold baubles are either ping pong balls or Christmas ornaments. I put on a pair of dance tights and drew the joint lines onto my knees. For the shoes, I butchered a pair of boots the cuff goes on top. Wow, so much work for a costume I don't wear anymore!
