Construction Details:

Haseo's shirt has lots of little details. One of those details, its panels, I sewed separately. I added LEDs cast in resin to the shirttails. All fabric on the shirt was sateen-finish cotton and had very little stretch.

The pants were made of a cotton bottomweight using a modified men's jeans pattern. This was a costume for which very few patterns could be used; most of it, I patterned myself or modified heavily from existing patterns.

Armor was made from craft foam and casting resin with LEDs soldered to add extra excitement. It was my second time making armor and my first time making anything larger than a wrist brace.

The guns are acrylic plastic sheeting, EL wire, and EVA foam with some limited papier mache. Lighting rigs were glued into pockets cut into the interior of the guns and battery packs were in the base of the guns so I could control the EL wire's glow.

Personal Thoughts:

Haseo is sassy, sarcastic, and has something to prove. He and I are very alike. I grew a lot as a person and a cosplayer while making this cosplay, and it was definitely a challenge - it was the first time I ever soldered lighting or used resin.

Styling Notes

This wig was only time-consuming because I stopped to sew in silver wefts to add color dimension to the wig, and because it was much longer and needed much of its length trimmed off.

Wig Review

This was the first time I ever spiked a wig and I learned a great deal from Malinda's tutorials on spiking her Cloud Strife wigs. I know I'm not to that level yet, but as a first attempt, I feel confident about it.
