About this Costume
Construction Details:
This costume was created with a red metallic stretch denim and a shimmery gold dancewear fabric for the main body pieces. The bolero jacket was made from a pattern I created with a T-Shirt, and the wrap skirt was also patterned by using only a mockup. The tank top was created using a sports top pattern in two layers of stretch knit.

Boots, gloves, and belt were all made from the same stretchy pleather.

Other miscellaneous items:

Knife: Two versions were made, pictures feature ver 1 (which got damaged in the stage performance later). Made with Polystyrene sheeting around balsa wood inserted into a dowel rod (handle). Pommel is made of clay.

Frozen Flame: Cast in a 2-part rubber mold I created myself. It is dyed orange, and sits on top of a click light to give it a wonderful glow!

Map: Map was made by putting a retractable window shade inside of a mailing tube, and then covering the window shade with fabric (drawing on it with copics) and the case was covered in craft foam for safety.
Personal Thoughts:
I made this costume for the World Cosplay Summit, which is why it's a little shinier than most of my other costumes! We wanted it to really shimmer and shine on stage in the lights, and I'd say it certainly did that!

4 / 5.00
Styling Notes
For the inside of the ponytail parts, styrofoam balls covered in spare wefts of autumn gold were strung on clear plastic thread that was sewn directly to the crown of the wig. Then, the ponytail part of the wig was pulled over each styrofoam ball, and tied to make the "braid". The bangs were styled using Got2B Glued spray, Heat, and tipped with White Glue so they didn't move. Wig is held on with 4 toupee clips, and many many pins.
Wig Review
The fibers for this wig were very soft and natural feeling. They took the styling products and heat very well.
