Construction Details:

leotard: I started making a sleeveless bodysuit (based on the kwik sew bodysuit pattern) that hit mid thigh and then free handed all of the lines that would mark a material change while I was wearing it. Fun fact: all the lines on the back were worn while I had the suit on backwards. I used a yellow lycra, a grey lycra, a faux leather lycra and the mesh is grey athletic knit (think basketball jerseys) stitched on top of the grey lycra. It zips up along the back and also has hooks and eyes at the crotch.The whole leotard has some major fit issues that I hope to resolve before wearing ti again. It also needs to be weathered a bit more too.
Tattoos: All the tattoos are drawn on with a marvy uchida brush tip fabric marker onto flesh colored lycra (the only real skin shown in this costume is my face, chest, and fingertips)
Pants: frankenstien'd two pairs of slavation army pants together. The hardest part was redoing the waist band to make it diagonal. All the grey parts were topstitched. I really do love me some top stitching.

Makeup: lips are Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetic's blue and white lip tar which worked really well except after I ate. chest tattoos are the Sephora Jumbo eyeliner thing and I used it to re draw my eyebrows too

Personal Thoughts:

Borderlands 2 was a really fun game to play. I really liked how all the textures of maya's suit played against each other and all the shapes looked like they would make a really fun challenge to create.
Fun fact: I was a little worried that my water pistol was going to be taken away so it was hidden in the crotch of my pants for most of the time. See if you can find it :P
I still need to add all her accessories and weathering before I wear Maya again.
