Construction Details:

The costume itself was pretty simple, and mainly involved me thrifting for a pair of exercise shorts and the brightest pair of green sneakers I could find. I attached a stripe of white fabric onto an old jacket I'd bought for Zoey from Left4Dead, and wore a camisole underneath.

Personal Thoughts:

Asahina was without a doubt my favorite character from the very beginning of Dangan Ronpa. She's absolutely adorable, a kickass swimmer, and... who doesn't love doughnuts? I pretty much knew I had to cosplay her all the way back when I read the Let's Play! in February at the behest of my best friend, and I was able to get her done for ACen with a group of other DR cosplayers.

Styling Notes

Although the wig was somewhat improvised from materials I had in a hotel room, I'm very proud of the way the wig turned out. All I used was the Jeannie base from Arda (no extra wefts, although I plan on remaking it for Otakon with added wefts to the ponytail), a styrofoam ball that I cut into a oval shape, lots of got2B, and some wire to attach the styrofoam ball to the wig itself. It honestly was pretty simple and didn't take very much time.
