Construction Details:

The white parts are all linen from Hancock Fabrics. It's super soft and has a beautiful drape that I love! Had some fun jerry-rigging to get the sash to look seamless and everything on the shall sitting right.

The purple dress I will pass over since it's so simple, but the poncho has it's own story. I ran out of trim while making it so had to use an alternate on the bottom. I plan on replacing it with the proper trim when the store has it back in stock.

THE SHOES! They are a custom-patterned shoe-cover and were a pain but I'm so proud of them. The fabric is an upholstry with the gold applique. I used a ribbon to cover the raw edges instead of satin-stitching for a more interesting visual effect. The soles are leather, hand-stitched to the shoe, then with another layer of leather glued over to hide the stitching. All then painted gold. I felt it necessary to do it that way since the toe curled up from the base of the foot and I didn't think any fabric would hold up to walking on as well.

Personal Thoughts:

Considering who else I've done and have planned, how could I not? There are many fun times ahead for this confident, powerful, goofy flirt. For now I have his djinn-less version but trust me there is bling to come!

Wig Review

Very happy with the color and feel and how it lays! Plans to update the look but for now it's pretty close! A little tight on me too...but not unbearable, so if that get's too bad it's also something within my ability to fix.
