Construction Details:

First time working with chiffon........ it was an interesting experience. Luckily for me the outfit didn't need to have finished seams so I got the easy end of the spectrum but I can already imagine how annoying it could've been. The costume was patterned like a dress with a hood but having the top...(Read More) part of the dress have a cowl neck and be a bit baggier where as the skirt was to be my actual waist size. Chiffon also does not flatter the figure if this is the pattern XD The sailor collar was made out of matte satin and the arm straps were made from faux leather upholstery fabric that I painted and weathered to match my shoes' straps. The prison cuffs were made from foam and the rings were sculpy that I attached on. The shoes needed a little bit of a paint job and I added tree spikes to the ends of them. The brooch was made from craft foam and sculpy, the gems were from the floral/gardening section, and the tiara is just gold matte satin attached to the hoodie.

I didn't wear any contacts with this but I did wear some crazy lashes and fangs. The wig I'm using was from kidsfashion 10 on ebay called the 60 Inch Extra Long Straight Cosplay Wig in dark purple. The nails were just fake nails that I didn't trim down and painted black. The body paint was PAX body paint that I mixed regular Spanish Olive Green acrylic paint to and the black veins were just regular black paint.

Also, this was the first time working with body paint and hoooooly crap is that stuff awesome and horrible at the same time. We had to make sure to powder my skin after painting otherwise I would stick to everything. Even though we gave me a good powdering [hurhurhur] I still managed to stick to stuff and the pain I felt when I had to peel myself away hahahahahhahahaaaaa NEVER AGAIN. Also, I vaguely felt like the Hulk at times.... I think it was the combo of green and purple hahaha.

Personal Thoughts:

My friend and I loved these character designs so we asked the artist of we could make them for a convention. We got the okay so .... yup.
