Construction Details:

Made using cotton sateen, which makes it heavy, but it has that sheen I imagined for Sumire. For the obi I drew out stencils on transparency paper and cut them out and tediously hand painted all of the designs onto the obi, back and front. For the shoes I used a black milliskin and made a boot cover, then cut out the front pieces and hand sewed all the elastic criss-crosses on.
