Construction Details:

Used a China dress pattern as the base and modded it into 6 parts (3 for each side). I used Casa collection red as the base, organza for the lighter reds and satin backed crepe for the details. Since my front is pretty flat I didn't need to mod a whole lot, but I ended up having to drape the back onto my dressform to get it to fit and accommodate for my back end. The back is open and there is a separating zipper through the collar and top half that are the only way I could get it to fit right and allow me to get in and out of the dress.

Personal Thoughts:

I have always really loved her work uniform so I figured I'd give t a try! I learned a lot about draping and fabrics on this project.
