Construction Details:

This costume was an exercise in Murphy's Law. I learned a lot about what to do, and NOT do, when it comes to dying, as well as the fact that not all dye brands are created equal. Also, organic cotton is not a good fabric to use when dying, if it has already been treated.

Personal Thoughts:

This was a costume that was part of a larger group of the Sima family. The patterning and applique was done by CapsuleCorp of Strangeland Costuming. Embroidery and bead work was done by GreenFire, who did Sima Shi. I did the dye work and little fiddly bits here and there.

Wig was pulled up into a pony tail.
