Construction Details:

This is the same fuku I used for my "Super" Saturn for Dragon*Con. I'm just not a huge fan of the super version of her costume enough to make a new leotard sooooo off came the cap sleeves.

The leotard I drafted with 2-way stretch, which was stupid and I don't suggest it. My leotard looks like "long cat" when it's off since it stretches sideways and sits correctly on the body. All the spandex is overlocked for strength and there is a underbust line. The "sleeves" were drafted in paper and then I cut it out of thin foamie and then cut out two pieces of spandex to put all together as a sleeve. I get into the whole thing from the bottom and have a button to close in the panty area.
The collar is sewn in about 5 places on the neckline so it can stretch easily.
The skirt is two full circles sewn together and then pleated on to the spandex waist band with light poly fill. It attaches to the leotard with snaps in the front V and under the bow.

The bows have tulle inside to hold the shape. The "star seed" is an old, plastic Christmas ornament I found when I was 12...

The tiara is two layers of foamie with gold fabric rubber cemented to the foamie to make the "ridge" look.

The boots are spandex boot covers over some little black demi-heels with 24 grommets hammered in with a black spandex tie through them (so the ties stretch when going on instead of ripping)
