Construction Details:

It has taken at least two weeks of almost non-stop work to create this.

Fabrics used: Yellow minky, White ultra cuddle, Blue ultra cuddle, Pink fleece, Black stretch velvet.

Other Materials: Upholstery foam, insulation foam, model magic, sculpey, cross-stitch mesh, cardstock, paint, mod-podge, poly-fil stuffing, elastic.

The body suit is made of fabric reclaimed from Sakutarou and tailored to give the look of digitigrade legs with the use of poly-fil padding. Most shoes can easily fit underneath the feet.

For the feet, 6" thick blocks of upholstery foam were carved into shape and then remnants of the yellow minky were hot glued into place. The toes are carved blocks of insulation foam which were sanded, painted and sealed.

The head base is made of 1" thick upholstery foam trimmed into shape, with a movable lower jaw. The upper half is trimmed in the thicker white fur with the blue hand sewn onto it. The eyes are cross-stitch mesh covered with colored cardstock and can easily be seen through.

The lower teeth inside the jaw are made of model magic sealed with modge podge, as well as the nose. The teeth on the upper jaw are pearlized sculpey. The horn is carved and sanded insulation foam which was painted and also sealed with mod-podge.

The claws on the pelt are all made of sculpey, which was then painted and sealed. The hands have foam inserts to give them a more accurate shape.

Personal Thoughts:

There is such a thing as being overambitious and this was it. I sorely underestimated the sheer amount of time it would take to make.
