Construction Details:

The jacket and pants are made out of a sturdy twill bought at Yardage Town. It was originally white, but I tinted it with a couple capfuls of tan RIT dye to get the right color.

The jacket was made using a Burda pattern that I selected for the lapel shape. In retrospect, I should have just modified that myself on a more basic pattern, as the shoulder seams form a decorative diagonal that was really annoying to work with (I kept wanting to set the sleeves one way when they were supposed to go another). I purposefully made the jacket a couple sizes too small, since Togami's fits awkwardly. Of course, I didn't think to modify the sleeves and armscye, so I had to add in gussets for comfort. The welt pocket on the chest is functional, but not very deep, and was made using a self-lined technique rather than the three-piece method I learned in class. This way is much easier! The other pockets on the jacket are just flaps, though.

The jacket was lined with a white crepe-back satin (my favorite lining material), so it feels really comfortable! The buttons aren't accurate to the design, but since I had no way to make custom buttons, I just bought the fanciest ones I could find in the Fashion District (they feature a sort of coat of arms?)

I had two options for pants pattern--one with a legitimate fly zipper and no pockets, and one with a mock fly zipper and pockets. I went with the latter, since having cosplays with pockets is always a good thing, even if I'm not fond of mock fly zippers. The pockets are lined with a gold crepe-back satin, since I ran out of white and it's what I had on hand (insert unfunny joke about how Togami's pockets are lined with gold).

The pin was made with craft foam. I hope I could make it with something sturdier sometime in the future! The glasses were ordered extremely last minute. They're reading glasses, so they have a slight prescription and give me a bit of a headache, but they're accurate so I put up with it.
