Construction Details:

My goal of this costume was to make it using all fabric my grandma gave me out of her attic. Its all cotton broadcloth pretty much (except the apron is poplin) but I don't mind. Cute version of Bulleta is a costume I can show my grandma and she won't be confused. :P

I used about 3 patterns for this costume. The cape was by itself and I made a hood pattern. The dress is the top of one pattern and a skirt I liked better then the original dress's bottom. I patterned the apron myself and the bloomers. I also made the shoe cover pattern. The red was such a small piece, I'm so happy I figured out the right patterns to get the best out of the red fabric.

Some cool points of the costume:

The shoes were originally a slightly different shape and snakeskin brown. I'm proud of them. I recently started REALLY loving to make shoes for costumes.

The apron is reversible. One side is pretty and white and the other is 'blood spattered.' There is no OFFICIAL art of her covered in blood, but there is a ton of great fan arts and its kinda awesome to have the option of flipping it :D

I made pockets in hidden areas so I can pull weapons out of seemingly nowhere. The way I made the apron makes a pocket and the bloomers have a hidden pocket.

I couldn't find the proper large pom-poms so I bought two big fur balls from Chinatown in Vegas. They are pretty big in Japan right now as keychains and phone charms.


The petticoat is made of red tulle in and has white lace on the edges. It was given to me by my friend Rex-Dart! The colors were perfect, thank you!

Wig Review

The way the side bangs curl out is SO PERFECT FOR BB! I also love that the color is very yellow, but not neon yellow; it works so well for cartoony character.
