The coat's all done with embroidery, although I wasn't able to finish the back in time for AN, but that is under way now! What's there so far already took over thirty hours, so...haha...ha

Highlight was the jrock band guests gawking at me in a restaurant - we became bros 4 lyfe after a brief exchange of 'ooooh, zoku!' and yankii noises

Styling Notes

I sat in my bathroom for a week with hair wrapped around a piece of my sewing machine with spray glue and a hair dryer There's a paper towel roll inside it to hold up the pomp, I curled each piece and first wrapped them around the roll to cover it, then started, uh...landscaping. I cut wefts from the bottom where the black hair would go and used those afterwards to sew upsidedown into the top half. Originally there weren't any bobbypins in it, but the wind at Anime North was insane so I added a few in the hotel room to be safe. I'm allergic to hairspray and I used a whole can so that was fun. I'm also nearly blind in my left eye so I positioned it a little more to that side to save on field of vision issues. Even so I basically couldn't see in front of myself and had to turn my right side to whatever I was looking at, it was interesting to say the least.
