About this Costume

Too much to go into on the fit of the bra. Just followed my illustration as best as possible. Btw, there is not elastic or glue holding it in place, I got that fit, though it nearly killed me. x§
Will be adding mirrors and embroidery to it. And more beads.
Skirt is 5yds with a cascade drop in the front. Pink hem is 11" wide. Elastic waist with a 1:2 ratio of fullness. The blues are cotton pink is polyester.
Underskirt is an ungathered circle skirt, with the hip yoke contoured to my measurements. The fabric was too narrow for the length I wanted to I had to join patches on, matching the pattern. This one is 60% cotton, 40% polyester, self yoke and facing are both cotton. Side invisible zipper with elastic band button extension. Made myself a half-length 3/4 full underskirt of blue acetate. Only choosing hard in description because of fit issues and all the hand stitching I plan on continuing with.
Headdress is acetate lining veil in green with peacock blue trim in three lengthening tiers. Fuchsia abstract flow print headband ties underneath my hair so the headdress doesn't fall off during floor work or lay backs. Hand beaded fringe added to frame face with "silver" button and jewelry findings glued to the sides.
Used a narrow hem foot to finish straight edges and did the sew twice press thrice trick for the curved edges. Serged and used 1/2" on cascade skirt and 1/4" hem on underskirt. Bra is fully lined with cups upcycled from old bra. Added tan mesh to arms because metal bangles get cold and uncomfortable during long performances. - Personal Thoughts:
- Bright bright BRIGHT colors that I normally don't use result in a super fun set to wear. Btw, that bra took foreeeeeeeeever to fit on myself. Inspired by the Banjara gypsies of India.
