Massively altered from a Maccall's pattern (I accidentaly bought the pattern package one size too big). The choli stayed the same, I just changed the lining operations and boning completely. Added a half top. With massive puffly sleeves. To get the cuff, I just took measurements of my arm and widest part of my wrist and made a pattern connecting the dots. Had to angle the end seam out to accomodate for the wrist in the end. Contoured the waistband to my body. Added grommets because back then I was still biased against zippers for some inane reason. Took a folkwear pattern for the jacket and resized it to fit my petite torso, then lengthened it ny three feet, lol. Changed the cuff and sleeve to open up to my mid for arm so it could dangle awesomely with czech glass beads for buttons and catch the field lights. Front Closure has more than 35 buttons and button loops matched to each button. Also made it reversible. Setting sun colors on one side with gold cuff and trim with navy blue and purple cuffs on the other side. Made it before I learned what understitching was.....
Ombre dyed the skirt and the purple panels of the jacket and added clove to the dye bath to make it smell good. Created headdress months after wearing it. Just ribbon with hem lace over it and sewed two huge flowers to it. - Personal Thoughts:
- Sister vampire to another Ravnos Moreska Urman in a Vampire: the Masquerade larp.... Very long complicated history. She and her sister ate their way up to 8th gen from 10th. A little on the crazy side. Since were sisters we went with a similar theme to our costumes: the nigh sky. My colors were the setting sun, hers were the rising moon. ^=^
