About this Costume
Construction Details:
The chest plate, belt, and shoes on this costume were a new project for me, my first adventure into leather tooling. The designs were done using a basic swivel knife and two sizes of beveling tools. The white finish I did with vinyl paint, and the silver is silver sharpie with a finish of rub-n-buff.
For the jacket and armbands and leggings on this costume, I used a white suiting with a slight one way stretch. The poly-suiting I chose for the skirt ended up being too thick to press into bias tape, so the trim is plain cotton store bought bias.

I ended up modifying the design in the back of the jacket in order to accommodate the bias tape. I also decided to reduce the pleats in the back of the skirt to avoid bulk. For the trim on the leggings I used a cable knit that matched my skirt fabric, and then I snapped the outside corners directly to my under tights.
Personal Thoughts:
I really love this costume, and I'm still working on refining it! I've tried to give a basic description of my process here, but there are so many parts and details to this design- if you want to know more PM me!
