About this Costume
Construction Details:
About two months ago I started working on Misha from Pita Ten in her Angel Bunny pajama dress. I started with an off white suede and a Lolita Alice in Wonderland pattern from Simplicity and some pink cotton and a bloomer pattern from Simplicity as well. The dress I did not really have to alter so much until I got to the sleeves which I lengthened and the skirt I drafted my own pattern to cut the petals of the dress. The skirt also has hand embroidery on the edges which contain 3 petals, 4 French knots and dashes going all the way around the skirt. The skirt was hand gathered into the bodice and so were the sleeves.
The cuffs were from a Simplicity pirate jacket pattern that I altered and used the same pink as the bloomers. The top edge of the cuff has hand detailing as well. The bloomers I added the elastic and lace for personal touches since the pattern just had you gather the legs into a band and the waist was a draw string. The hood came from a cape pattern that I sewn together and attached with snaps. The ears I hand drafted as well as the pom poms, wings and tail. The pom poms and tail were hand gathered and stuffed. The tail and the wings are secured with snaps so if the dress needs to be washed they can easily be removed.
The wig is from Epic and is to the small of my back but I zipped it up in the dress. The bangs were cut and styled by myself. The make up was planned out and designed by myself as well.
Personal Thoughts:
A very fun and relaxing cosplay. I walked barefoot for most of the day. I did not get too hot in the cosplay either.
