About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
The kimono is painted with branch designs all throughout and is made of white crepe silk (fully lined). The haori is a black satin with a back that fakes a duponi silk to match Cyrene's Houzukigami. Both were made using a kimono pattern from a cosmode book using my own furisode as a construction reference.
I cheated with a lot of things and used things I already had - the obi, tabi, geta, and all under layers I already owned, and the han-eri is just a band made of the same material I made the bow for the haori with.
Horns are paperclay, sanded, scored, then covered in gesso before painting. Headpiece is dip-dyed violet, but will be dyed again for darker color (it's visible in person but not in pictures). Halberd broke o the way to Fanime. - Personal Thoughts:
- It's a really good thing I get to wear a mask because I keep crying in this costume (I have a lot of feeling about natsume okay)
