Oh man, was this costume fun to do! Before we started on our bigger costumes for katsucon, Koi and I wanted a little down time costume wise. so we designed our own gijinkas of Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy.
The dress was the same pattern I used for my Camellia Gumi dress (I again added a circle skirt to whatever oddball length it is I have and changed the neck from straight to a sweetheart). The blue bow I purchased from David's bridal and my bolero I made from a simplicity pattern I had lying around XD
The petticoat tutu thing I also made by just sticking a very gathered ruffle onto the bottom on a rectangle skirt (the waistband is elastic).
The cutie mark is made from satin and I attached it using heat and bond ultrahold.
The wig is a Luthien in raspberry from arda that I straightened first. Then, out curlers of various sizes in curled it. After that, it was a poof ball so I pulled and loosened some the curls with my fingers to make it more to my liking =)
The bangs were curled with the tightest curlers (maybe 1/2 inch or so) and I simply tried the wig on and bobby pinned them to the side, they fluffed up on their own XD
The ears Koi made and I painted and later sewed into the wig.
I just got the shoes at payless :)
As for the accessories, I simply made a necklace and bracelet out of some beads I bought offline. And the glasses are those over-sized novelty ones, a rubber nose, and a bendable fake mustache all stuck on XD The swirls were painted on.
I think that about covers everything, It may not be my best work construction wise, but I still had a lot of fun wearing it! - Personal Thoughts:
- I loved wearing this costume! So much fun!!!

- Styling Notes
- I straightened the curl out of the wig first. Then I put various sized curlers in (largest at the bottom and smallest at the top toward the crown). then I just set them up under a heat bonnet, trimmed the wig a bit, and pinned the bangs to the side. Easy peasy!
- Wig Review
- I love my Pinkie wig! So much poof!!!
