About this Costume

Since this was originally for Wasabi and I didn't have a sewing machine, it was completely hand sewn at first. However, since it wasn't finished on time, I ended up going over the previous seams on my new sewing machine for Starfest. Nothing special was really done for the hoodie portion of it.
For the mask I used a see through material that used to be a ninja mask thing from Spirit. I sewed some velcro onto it and then used some sticky back velcro for the eyes and mouth, which were made out of craft foam. Craft foam was a last minute idea since it was just lying around my room. But any way, I used velcro so that I could change the expressions on the face.
Originally, I had planned to put some white boot covers on my hoof heels. Apparently, I left the fabric at my dad's place so I ended up not putting any covers on. But at the very least the hoof heels had a good shape for Taokaka's shoes. It took me a million years to find out what those type of heels were even called, but I am so happy to have a pair.
The wig was something long and cheap off Ebay that I slung around my shoulders. The tail was made out of some extra fur from my Felicia cosplay. Then I soaked the tip in some alcohol and sharpie mix. There's a hole in the back of the hoodie so that the elastic on my tail can go through and sit around my waist. Apparently I had made the hole too big so I had a lot of flesh showing. Currently I'm debating on another remake of this costume that hopefully includes some light up eyes and claws. - Personal Thoughts:
- This started out as a last minute project for Animeland Wasabi, but it never got finished in time. So, it became a last minute project for Starfest!
