Construction Details:

The gown is made out of shantung fabric, the bow & sash are red casa satin. I decided to burn the triangle edges at the top to give them an edgier feel & as a method to keep them from fraying. I owned practically everything else. Becky (Princess Bubblegum) did the makeup on her, myself & Brandy (Fire Princess).

Personal Thoughts:

This was a hectic, but fun experience. I love any chance I get to do a group with friends. I wanted to enter the group costume contest at Awesomecon & Becky found the perfect outfits for us to make. Simple enough to be sewn in a week.

This gown was 2 different firsts for me. I have never ever made a costume in one day. Nor have I ever made a costume less than 24 hours before a con. I'm usually MUCH better with my time management, but I had so many other things going on & I still managed to get this gown done in time, so that counts for something right? (literally finished & got to the con with 15 minutes to spare. Booya!)
