Construction Details:

Worn to the 2013 Washington D.C. Sakura Matsuri where I helped to host the AUSA Cosplay Fashion Show. Designed by Kevin Bolk for Anime USA's theme this year, "Journey Back to Edo Japan".

The pink kimono is a light pink 2 way stretch suiting with the neck band made out of a rose satin that I originally was going to use for the front panel of my rosebride Utena gown. The purple half kimono is a blue-violet cotton with a gold brocade trim. The Edo symbol is screenprinted onto the fabric courtesy of my talented roommate, Marti. The obi is a green flannel (the closest fabric I could find that had the correct print on it) with interfacing & shares the same gold brocade trim that the purple kimono does.

The hairpiece consists of hand colored, tiny white wisteria flowers with pearl beading. Finished up the outfit with a comfy pair of zori sandals ♥

The wig is a blonde Kelly, from Sepia that I cut into a Hime-style & added the red,white & blue wefts.
