About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Shirt is a plain white shirt I cut up/re-sewed and painted (I don't have a color printer, otherwise I'd have done iron-ons). Black bias tape for the black strips, with the bow made of some black cotton scraps I had leftover from the shorts.
Shorts are just black cotton, made with a pattern I drafted myself. Nothing fancy. The logo is painted on with several layers of paint. The belt is a strip of white ribbon with the hearts painted on. The belt charmies are cut from a cereal box and spraypainted/painted with acrylics. If I ever wear this costume again I need to make them more durable- they kept getting caught on things and got all bent up. v_v
Gloves are fingerless weightlifting gloves I've had since my color guard days in HS. They're super comfy so that was pretty awesome. - Personal Thoughts:
- I did 3 Makoto cosplays for 3 days at Momocon. This is the only one I could find pictures of u_u
Makoto is my fave.
Wig Details
- Wig Review
- Fit pretty well, but the wig style was a little too choppy for my liking.
