About this Costume

Buckles, armguard, leg-guards were my first time making anything with foamies, same with the details on the hat. It was a lot of fun figuring out just how to make the shapes how I wanted them. Then it was onto the painting. EVERYTHING...I mean everything was hand painted. The jacket was done in two layers. The jacket started black, painted a grey flat coat for shading, then I added need black detailing for shadows...then all the small details like the silver parts and the white wings on her back. The jacket was the longest process of painting and after many hours of staring at reference images I'm happy with how it came out. Is it perfect, well....no but I believe a little interpretation in the Borderlands style works too!
My Sheriff's star was also made of foamies and hand painted. I made sure to put a teal LED light inside that I could turn on and off...for that added effect (since her's was lit).
This was my first time wearing contacts...and I can't thank Alan enough for getting this photo that really showcases them! I also did the make-up in the same style as my other fellow cosplayers were....and I didn't want to be odd man out. Not to mention, I think it looks awesome on Borderland Cosplayers.
All-in-all I made everything for this costume in about 1.5 weeks. I love this costume and it was so much fun wearing it with everyone! - Personal Thoughts:
- Borderlands is amazing. I absolutely love the game from the gameplay to the story and most of all the dialogue. Over-all, I decided to make this costume last minute to join a friends group and I'm super glad I did!
