Construction Details:

Like my Anna maid outfit, I tried to match the dress seams exactly the same as in the show. However, blue on blue can be just as hard as black on black, lol. I patterned most of this by hand. Seams are all flat-felled or French. The belt is tacked down in places as it would not stay otherwise. The main dress buttons are hidden behind a small panel. There are two patch pockets on the front of the dress, and two pockets in the seams on the sides. The collar is a dickey, although I cheated and tacked it down too rather than do buttons. Cardigan is bought. Shoes and nylons from other costumes. The watch is actually my grandmother's and is from 1958.

Personal Thoughts:

After Downton Abbey, Call the Midwife is probably my favorite period drama. I love Chummy and Miranda Hart is one of my all-time favorite people.
