Construction Details:

All the armor is made of caftfoam, which I patterned, hotglued and painted. The tunic is made from an altered mumu-like dress...thing...which i cut up, re-sewed the front panel back on and took in. I then painted the underside of the tails with red screenpaint and weathered the whole piece with acrylics and spraypaint. The belt was constructed out of pleather, funfoam and fur with a covered box used for the pouch. The stave is just a branch with studs, paperclay and a painted ball glued on, with foamcore as the blade.

Personal Thoughts:

This was my first real armor cosplay! I had seen some people posting progress of their Hawkes (specifically Aicosu) and decided I wanted to put myself up to the challenge too, since I love the DA series so much, and really wanted to make something from it. Lots of trial and error later, Hawke was finished! Too bad I made the mistake of making this for a summer con, it really only fares well in cooler weather.
